Why grow fruits and peppers indoors

Fruiting plants take longer than herbs and greens, about 10 to 14 weeks from seed to harvest, but you can pick fresh strawberries and peppers whatever the weather is outside.

Pollination

Fruiting plants need pollination to set fruit, and indoors there are no bees. A Pollination Brush lets you gently move pollen between open flowers yourself.

How the seed packets work

Every packet comes with 30 seeds and 12 compostable grow mats, enough to seed 12 cups of your Home Farm. Strawberry packets come with 15 seeds and 7 grow mats. Fill a grow cup with clay pebbles, set a grow mat on top, soak it with the pipette from your pH kit, scatter the seeds and cover the cup. Check daily and uncover it once seedlings appear.
